So, how late does UPS deliver? For residential addresses, the standard delivery times are 9am-7pm. But most UPS workers are scheduled through 9 pm, so there's still a chance your package can arrive after the 7pm cut-off time. This is common during the holiday season when delivery drivers are working overtime.

Check exterior doors or other places your package could've been placed, like the porch, back patio or garage. Also check with anyone who may have picked up your package, like a neighbor. If you still can't find it, contact the seller to start a claim.

It is illegal for FedEx, UPS, and carriers other than the USPS to deliver to a mailbox because the U.S. Postal Service has a monopoly on delivering mail to mailboxes. This monopoly is enshrined in federal law, and violators can be fined.

UPS may make up to three delivery attempts at its discretion at your address on regular UPS delivery days. After the final attempt, undeliverable packages will be returned to the sender. To prevent your package from being returned or to make alternate delivery arrangements, track your package.

What happens if I miss my UPS delivery? ›

UPS will redirect your package to the nearest UPS Access Point® in your home. They'll hold the package for seven days before sending it back to the sender. You should confirm the exact UPS Access Point location and that your package is “Awaiting Customer pick up” on the UPS website.
